The earth is dying. Bees are dying. Animals are becoming extinct. Oceans are polluted. We can't wait to solve all these environmental issues. The time is now!
Our mission is to spread awareness on environmental issues especially those around the DMV area. We are focused on making sure that everyone is mindful and conscious of what is happening around the world and the everyday actions that they can take to protect the earth.
In recent political discussions, climate change has been a big controversial topic. However, the effects of our lack of responsibility has impacted environments immensely. We made this website to help people understand that it is not hard to help conserve the planet and to bridge the education gap on environmental issues.

This team was formed in a Girls Who Code classroom in the summer of 2017 at Georgetown University. Under the sponsorship of Lockheed Martin, we learned computer science skills that have allowed us to take this project into our own hands.
Out of a collective love for the environment, the four of us decided to create a project that combined this passion with a brand new skill. With these skills we were able to create a website that was informational and useful for the modern adult.
Over the course of the two weeks we had to complete this project, we had to research a broad area of subjects regarding the environment. In addition to researching existing media, we were able to create our own original content. With personal projects and the help of some outside friends, we made the site a repository for new and existing media.
In the future, we hope to maintain the site and make in impact in the modern world. It would be our hope to see more original content and continued development of the site as a whole.
Leaja is a Junior at KIP College Preperatory in Washington, DC where she is a member of the Varsity Soccer team. Her favorite subjects are biology and chemistry. Leaja has a dog and a turtle named Brooklyn and Prince, respectively. Leaja hopes to become a model and entrepreneur based in Atlanta.
Libby is a Senior at Woodrow Wilson HS in Washington, DC where she is a member of the Varsity Field Hockey team and the secretary of the Gender Sexuality Alliance. In her free time she enjoys reading and drawing. She hopes to become a Disney animator or become a baker on Cape Cod.
Mary is a Junior at Holy Cross in Maryland. Mary enjoys playing soccer and running track for her school. In her school, she is a part of the Girl Up and Sole Hope. In the future, Mary hopes to be an aerospace engineer and retire as a crepe maker in France.
Mattie is a Senior at Washington- Lee HS in Virginia. Mattie is an intermediate guitarist and an advanced vocalist. In the future, she hopes to become a doctor and a mango seller in Martinique. In her community, she is a leader of the Arlington Teen Network Board and plays tennis at the YMCA.

Jane Goodall is known for her study of chimpanzees in which she went in as a scientist and came out, a conservationist.
After witnessing the endangerment of the chimps, Goodall decided to dedicate her life to animal activism. Goodall is
considered the world’s foremost chimpanzee expert. She spent years observing a family of chimps and is credited with the first ever recorded observation of chimps eating meat
and making tools (Biography). Goodall was also able to end the misconception that all chimpanzees were vegetarian when she observed their hunting and feeding skills. Jane Goodall became the author of
twelve books, namely In the Shadow of Man, in addition to numerous articles. Overall, Goodall’s research has set an example of wholesome observation practices for future scientists to live by.
Anna is a co-founder and Chief of Branding and Sales at EcoTastic. Worked at EcoSummit which is a organization dedicated to encouraging the world to switch to renewable energy and it is powered by 100% clean energy. Anna works to encourage people to behave responsibly with the environment. Works at ResQ, a company dedicated to saving food from being needlessly wasted at restaurants and the like in many cities and countries.
Her work related to our project because she is an environmentalist trying to bring green living into the modern world. Her efforts are one of the examples we could use to show the many ways we could all try to be sustainable.We are both trying to encourage and bring awareness on ways that everyone can apply in their everyday life in regards to protecting the environment.
Donald E. Worster is the Hall Distinguished Professor of American History at the University of Kansas. He received a Bachelor of Arts in 1963. Worster focus is most environmental history,He is also interested in comparative history. He continued with his education at Yale University which earned him an M.Phil in 1970 he also received a PhD. He is also an author, he wrote serveral books one of them is “The Wealth of Nature"
